This a close-up of my very first sox. Well, one of the pair, so just a sock. And I didn’t even need to use needles that look like bamboo skewers. I love them and loved knitting them so much that I have ordered some cool self-striping wool for another pair, and also bought some boy colour wool to knit a pair for Drummer Boy, who is my fiance and who never wants me to knit him anything. Earlier this summer I was trying my first ever cable project and knitting golf club covers, (only 2 because I only have 2 woods – and they really are wood!) and I asked him if he wanted any, and he said “no thanks”. But come to think of it I did knit him a toque last year, also in “boy” colours out of Noro Kureyon, and he did wear it.
